This partnership will see AA Kenya members get a 24hour ambulance services for medical emergencies across the country. The memorandum of understanding was signed on 12th November 2019 at the AA Kenya offices by the AA Kenya CEO, Mr. Francis Theuri and E-Plus Managing Director, Mrs Susan Ng’ong’a.
AA Kenya is the largest Automobile Association in Kenya with over 100,000 members and branch offices in all major towns countrywide providing road safety services whereas Emergency Plus Medical Services (E-Plus) is the largest ambulance and pre-hospital services provider in the country. The partnership comes at a time when AA Kenya is celebrating 100 years’ anniversary and working with E-Plus will mean added value to their customer experience. AA Kenya members will access 24-hour evacuation in case of accident which is a premium to the current towing services.
Mr Francis Theuri, AAK CEO emphasized that the safety of the vehicle driver is more important than that of the vehicle and that is why the partnership with E-Plus will see all members access ambulance evacuation from E-Plus in case of Emergency. “The lives of our members are more important than the vehicle and that is the reason, our partnership with E-Plus is crucial to ensure above towing services, any member involved in any emergency, will also be evacuated and access quality pre-hospital care swiftly.” He added that, E-Plus which is a company of Kenya Red Cross, has a huge capacity and wide coverage to offer ambulance services to their members.
AA Kenya has come of age, and as they celebrate 100 years, continued strategic partnership is key to ensure improved customer experience and safety kept afloat.
Mrs Susan Ng’ong’a in her remarks, stated that in Kenya, Emergency medical services has become a great necessity. With the ever increasing cases of accidents or calamities, life of people is critical. She added that, E-Plus, the largest ambulance service provider in the east Africa region, has invested heavily on fleet, quality of the equipment and personnel to ensure that they are able to respond faster and provide accessible and quality prehospital care to all clients.
