E-Plus this weekend sponsored the First lady’s Beyond Zero’s half marathon race held on 10th March 2019 with aim of raising funds for maternal healthcare.
A total of 12 fully equipped ambulances and extra 40 medical personnel supported the 21Km, 10Km, 5Km and 2Km for pregnant women walk. E-Plus was the lead emergency medical services provider working with Mater Hospital, St.Johns and HRI.
As the leading EMS provider, E-Plus mandate complements the efforts of The Beyond Zero Campaign which aims to address access medical care and reduce maternity mortality. E-Plus provided 40 EMTs and nurses attend to the marathon participants at the recovery tents set up by Philips.
During the event, Kenya Red Cross Society and its entities; Switch TV, Boma Hotel and BIHC registered corporate teams within the ‘Team Health’ network in support of the First Lady’s marathon scooping first runner’s up position in 10KM race.
