Nairobi, Kenya, Sunday 25th July 2021: Our attention has been drawn to a Citizen TV News Item titled “Family of patient found dead at Mbagathi hospital demand answers” that aired on Citizen TV News @ 1pm on 25th July 2021.
We wish to state as follows:
We acknowledge that we were contacted by the Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital on the 12th July 2021 at 2340 hrs to transfer a patient from their facility to the Mbagathi County Hospital. We carried out the evacuation in accordance with the stipulated evacuation protocols and any further information on this issue can be sought from the hospital.
We confirm that ALL due protocols/procedures in regards to patient referral and handover were FULLY adhered to.
